“I wouldn’t have survived my high school years without my friends. From my WDC teammates to my classmates in math, we all support each other through everything and that’s what makes high school memorable. Some of the best moments in my high school career involve mainly WDC, such as going to Hawai’i and performing at a Mavericks game. I hope that my time in WDC allowed the community to appreciate and celebrate people’s culture even more.” (Juwan Malinis)

“Some of the best moments were with my best friends and in my favorite classes, going out to eat and going shopping. My most challenging moments were cramming and studying for tests and having to teach myself a lot.”

“Some of the best moments was probably filming Fired Up and challenging moments is studying for the AP EXAMs. I hope the impact I leave is that I was a great mentor to those that needed my help and guidance.”

“Some of my best moments were shared with my dance team WDC. I enjoyed going to Hawaii, dance competition, and seeing the finished product of the yearbook. Some of the challenges I faced was college applications, no one truly tells you the struggle. I overcame them by using my resources at school. I hope to leave a impact of joy and of people to take me as proof that no matter the struggle you can always come out successful.”

Some of the best moments include, going to Hawaii, performing at the Dallas Mavericks Game, and performing at Grandscape. My biggest challenge was applying to colleges as a first time college student. I hope throughout all of my hard work, I have left a legacy throughout North Garland.

“My best memories was going to Hawaii and the late night room sleepovers. Some challenging things I overcame was staying locked in and I just got them done early to not have to worry about them. The impact I hope to leave is to be joyful and to show that it’s always possible to make a happy impact on someone no matter the circumstances.”

“I did things that I liked. I acted. I did journalism. I studied. The most life changing things that happen was the friend groups I made. I love them all. I just hope my junior friends are inspired to work hard.”
