Review: Mockingjay, Part 1

The third installment of the “Hunger Games” series: “Mockingjay” Part 1, depicted the beginning of a rebellion forming amongst those against the Capital, with the majority of the movie focusing on Katniss filming propaganda clips to promote the rebellion. The film’s production value was prominent, though there were a multitude of unrealistic-looking parts which could have been improved on. Yes, Hollywood isn’t real, but its goal is to try. Though visually appealing, the plot was stale. The idea of a government taking advantage of its people appears to strike a chord with more people than it deserves, since the idea has been recycled back and forth and is nothing ground-breaking.
