Skyward replaces the old grading system

The upcoming school year is bringing in new changes, including a computer system that is designed to handle everything in the database called “Skyward”. The students’ schedule, grades, missing assignments, and personal information will be stored on there.
Counselors use Skyward the most because they are the ones in charge of the students’ schedule, personal info, and everything related to college.
“Skyward is a good system, but I didn’t realize that there would be so many steps in the process,” counselor Sarah Wooley said.
Since school recently began, there is a huge demand for schedule changes, but Skyward is not designed to make those fixes.
“Say if there’s someone who wants to be in drill team, and take AP Bio, and AP English, and AP Physics, we would have to manually do that,” said Wooley.
Teachers and counselors do not know everything about Skyward due to its complications, although they are still learning about the system and understanding the features, that does not mean it is impossible.
“We only got a basic training of it and so it’s still new to us, but it will eventually be old to all of us,” Wooley said.
