“I am the secretary for the [Special Ed] department. I am in charge of sending out notifications to the parents, calling parents to the meetings, and doing a lot of paperwork. I like working with kids because I worked with them in ESL (English as a Second Language) before for 7 years. There are different capacities [of students]. There are students that are very low [intellectually]. There are some kids you wouldn’t even know that there’s anything is wrong with them. Some are very bright; they just have a little bit of a difference [such as] the way they listen, hear things, or the way they write. I enjoy working with the kids and the teachers. It’s challenging but at the same time rewarding.”
