Time:

Prep: 10 minutes

Cook: 15 minutes

 

Ingredients:

1 ½ cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 egg

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ cup molasses

1 ½ cup milk

 

Directions:

  1. Whisk all of the dry ingredients together in a bowl. Then, whisk one whole egg, vanilla and molasses together in a separate bowl until smooth.
  2. Whisk in milk with the wet ingredients until well combined. Next, mix wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, few lumps are okay.
  3. Heat a lightly oiled griddle pan over medium-heat, and drop the batter in spoonfuls into the pan.
  4. Cook until bubbles appear and edges are dry. Flip, then cook on the other side until browned. Repeat with remaining batter.
